Hi friends from the other side of our earth!
We are the confirmants from Rödelsee, a little village in Germany with about 1700 inhabitants. We are quite a big vintage of 18 divided in two groups.
Almost everyone of us is going to a different school at a different place and level - but no one really likes it going there. Probably because we must go and we don't have to pay for it.
We are all 14 years old and it takes 2 years weekly lessons to get confirmated on May 9th 2010.
Confirmation has in our village a big meaning - we invite a lot of relatives and friens and we are celebrating a big feast in each family.
We also love the time with our pastor Jan Peter Hanstein. He is very cool and he likes to play the guitar. We admit: we don't like to sing church songs. Also we have to go to the services on Sunday which is sometimes very early and boring ... The best things we experience together are the two weekends together in a hostel together with other congregations. This is good fun. The most of us like to play computer games and to listen to music. What is your favourite music?
We got very different hobbies like soccer, dancing, gymnastics, Yoga, Choirs, play music instruments, Basketball, swimming and so on. Now it is very cold in Gemany so we play Ice-Hockey and go skiing.
We heard you have to walk a very long way to get to your school, but we just go by bus. Our Pastor has told us a lot about your life and we saw some pictures and movies. But it would be much nicer to hear it directly from yourself.
